North Lombok is the result of a regional expansion program from a few years back. Additionally, you will encounter many groups of entertaining monkeys along the way. There are monkeys carrying babies, hunting for ticks among their fellow monkeys, engaging in romantic activities, or simply playing around. These sights are sure to captivate you.
However, if you wish to feed these monkeys, make sure not to provide food in packaging, as the waste from packaged food can have a negative impact on the environment. Please continue to maintain cleanliness and the preservation of nature during your journey.

This beach is located in the village of Dusun Luk, Sambi Bangkol, Gangga District, North Lombok. It is said that this beach is a trace of the eruption of Mount Samalas or Rinjani in 1257, as quoted by kompas.com in the article “Source of the Great AD 1257 Mystery Eruption Unveiled, Samalas Volcano, Rinjani Volcanic Complex, Indonesia” (Tempo, 17/11/2013).
In essence, Tebing Beach will remind you of the elegance of black pearls. Its dark and glistening black sand and the deep blue sea stretch along cliffs that are 10-20 meters high.
From the beach’s edge, you can listen to the stories of the sea or enjoy the gentle lapping of its waters. Alternatively, you can explore the beach from above the cliffs adorned with lush green trees.
There are no food vendors on the beach, so it’s advisable to bring your snacks. If you get hungry, perhaps during lunchtime, you can look for restaurants in the surrounding area.
