Aik Mencerit Pool is one of the hidden gems of Lombok tourism located in Tete Batu Village, Sikur District, East Lombok Regency.

Location

Its location is quite easy to find. You don’t need to climb mountains or traverse valleys. Aik Mencerit Pool is only about a 1.5-hour drive from Mataram City. It is situated on the edge of the world’s most beautiful tourist village, Tete Batu. Just before visitors reach the “Air Terjun Sarang Burung Walet” (Swallow’s Nest Waterfall).

Visitors can park their vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled, in the designated areas at local residents’ houses. The parking fee is very budget-friendly, at only Rp. 2,000 per motorcycle and Rp. 5,000 per car.

After parking, visitors only need to walk a short distance and cross a small road to enter the area of Kolam Aik Mencerit. To enter the pool, visitors are charged an entrance fee of Rp. 5,000 per person. This fee includes the use of public restrooms and changing rooms!

Kolam Aik Mencerit is indeed not very large. It consists of only two pools: one for adults and one for children. The adult pool is not too deep.

But despite not being very spacious, the serenity of the pool and the surrounding scenery is very refreshing for the eyes. It’s truly a feast for the eyes! With tall standing trees and terraced rice fields, it makes all your worries disappear in an instant.

The water source of Aik Mencerit Pool

The water in Aik Mencerit Pool flows directly from the natural spring of the river in Tete Batu Village, which is well-preserved for its purity. It’s very clear and refreshingly cold, perfect for rejuvenating tired skin after a week of hard work.

And to be noted, the water in Aik Mencerit Pool doesn’t use any chlorine and keeps flowing, ensuring its cleanliness. It’s perfect if you want to take your toddlers and children for a swim here. No need to worry about hygiene.

Fyi, Tetebatu Village is located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level, at the foot of Mount Rinjani, so the air temperature is very cool and refreshing. There are lush green trees and rice fields everywhere. And the friendliness of the villagers, of course, is beyond question.

Pool Facilities

As for its own facilities, Aik Mencerit Pool provides several pavilions that can be used by visitors. Through these pavilions, visitors are treated to expansive rice field views and can keep an eye on family members while they swim. Under one of the pavilions, there’s even a small pond filled with hungry fish.

Inside the Aik Mencerit Pool area, there is also a small eatery that offers snacks and noodles which you can order whenever you feel hungry. You can also bring your own food if you prefer.

As for cleanliness, it is very well maintained because Aik Mencerit Pool follows the “Zero Waste” principle, as indicated on a sign at the entrance. There are trash bins provided, so please do cooperate and use them!

Aik Mencerit Pool is highly recommended for visitors who want to take a vacation with their family or close friends. Even if you’re not close, that’s fine too because it’s your business (xixixi).
