The Itinerary for Lombok Weaving Course

Explore the history of weaving and learn to weave directly from local weavers. At the end of the day, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset on the enchanting white sandy beach or experience the refreshing waterfall, the coolness of which can penetrate your pores.

Day 1: Introduction to Lombok Weaving (Sukarara Village)

The first-day class takes place in one of the most famous Sasak weaving craft centers, Sukarara Village, with the following schedule:

08:00 - We pick you up from the hotel or airport.

09:00-10:00 - History of Lombok Weaving

10:00-10:30 - Coffee Break

10:30-12:00 - Introduction to Types & Motifs of Weaving, Weaving Tools and Materials

12:00-14:00 - Break & Lunch with nasi puyung.

14:00-16:00 - Learning Basic Weaving Techniques

16:00-18:00 - Visit the pottery center in Banyumulek

18:00-20.00 - Dinner with Ayam Taliwang & Return to the hotel

Day 2: Intensive Weaving Practice (Sukarara Village)

On the second day, we remain in Sukarara Village but with more intensive training.

08:00 - We pick you up from the hotel.

09:00-10:00 - Weaving Practice

10:00-10:30 - Coffee Break

10:30-12:00 - Weaving Practice

12:00-14:00 - Break & Lunch with nasi puyung.

14.00-16.00 - Weaving Practice

16:00-18:00 - Head to Sembalun Village

18:00-20:00 - Check-in at Sembalun Hotel & Dinner

Day 3: Learning Dyeing (Sembalun Village)

On the third day, we will learn about the dyeing of woven fabrics while exploring other weaving motifs in Sembalun Village.

08:00 - We will pick you up from the hotel.

09:00-10:00 - Understanding the Weaving Dyeing Process

10:00-10:30 - Coffee Break

10.30-12.00 - Practicing Dyeing Weaving

12:00-13:00 - Lunch & Strawberry Picking

13:00 - Depart to Sendang Gile Waterfall in Senaru Village

14:00-15:00 - Soft trekking to Sendang Gile Waterfall

15:00 - Depart to Bukit Malimbu

17:00-18:00 - Enjoying the sunset at Bukit Malimbu

18:00-20:00 - Dinner & Return to the hotel
